Dr Mike Robinson injured as he prepared to run in the Virgin London Marathon 2014 in support of APCA

Dr Mike Robinson was planning to run the marathon in aid of APCA UK this year, unfortuntaley he has been injured whilst training and is unable to run. We wish him all the best in his recovery. Mike is originally form Manchester and trained as a doctor in Nottingham. He worked in the Midlands before moving to Edinburgh in 1989.

He is a Consultant Orthopedic and Trauma Surgeon working at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh. His special interest is in shoulder and upper limb injuries and has a keen clinical and research commitment in these areas. He lives in Edinburgh and has three children. His hobbies include running, tennis, films and music.

He is compartively new to running although he completed his first marathon in Edinburgh in 2013. He was excited about running in the London marathon and supporting the ongoing development of palliative care in Africa through APCA UK and is disapointed to now not be able to run as planned. APCA's place for the Virgin London Marathon has been trasnfered to 2015 so we look forward to your support next year.
